Well my amazing two week vacation is over! Today I had to wake up super early so I could spend the day at a conference. The weather is super messy here in Houston so I opted for something comfortable.

Friday night I was laying in bed stuffing my face when I got a text from my friend Brittany telling me to get up because we were going to go out. I never go out on Friday nights so I had no outfits planned or even a clue of what I wanted to wear. I decided to do my hair and make up then figure out what to actually wear. I found a very simple skirt and top and paired them with my favorite cardigan  I think my outfit came out pretty good. What do you guys thing?

Month in Review: October

Wow guys the years is almost over! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween and hopefully all my east coast readers are safe. October was a wonderful month. Houston actually got hit with some cold weather for a week and I got to pull out my hoodies and boots. I have to say October was one of my favorite months.

Girls Night In A Hurry

 Happy Monday everyone! Well guys this weekend I went out with a few of my girls and had a wonderful time. However getting ready was a bit of a rush. My friend told me to be ready by 11 then called at 9:30 and said she was on the way! I had to rush and throw on something that I bought during a shopping trip I had earlier that day. I was pleased with my outfit and had to share it will you guys.

I have always had a love affair with plaid. I think it is so simple and clean. Plaid can look rustic, preppy or when paired with flannel even grunge chic!

That silly groundhog!

Last week was perfect! The days were in the high 70s and the nights in the low 60s. Perfect Houston weather. Well in true Houston fashion the temperature has changed drastically. I blame the Groundhog!

Puddles Won't Stop Me

 Houston has been hit by a lot of rain lately. I had several errands to run Saturday morning so I decided to brave the weather and go to Central Market. I just love going to Central Market and tasting all the yummy things. I totally hit the jackpot because they were having a cookie sale. 6 cookies for three dollars! Of course I also got some healthy things too.

Two Very Different Winter Nights Out

The Busy Girls Guide to Holiday Shopping

I have learned that on busy Saturday mornings that less restrictive outfits are best . While on the go holiday shopping, grocery shopping and just driving around you really do not need a huge jacket because most of your time will be spent inside of stores or in your car sitting in traffic.

The key to staying warm in this type of outfit is the leg warmers! I found mine at a juniors store in my local mall. They had several colors and styles all for under 5 dollars. 

So Thankful

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I spent my Thanksgiving with my family watching movies and eating entirely to much. This year I am thankful for everyone in my life being healthy. This year I decided I wanted to set the table for our family meal. 

I filled the middle centerpiece with an assortment of beans and corn. The two round vases are filled with red balls I found at Michaels. The white candles are just vanilla candles found at the dollar store. The two small square vases are filled with corn and orange pumpkin scented candles, also found at the dollar store. I used a set of my mom's old placemats and a simple crayon to write the names of our guest. I found three different color ribbions at Michaels that I placed down the middle of the table.
